The Zamboanga Family’s Brand Sardines is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the SOCCSKSARGEN Marlins at 6:30 P.M. on August 7, 2019 live from the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in Malolos, Bulacan.

The Marlins has yet to break into the winning columns and they’re hopeful that it’ll be tonight while the Family’s Brand Sardines will do their best that it won’t happen against them when the 2019 MPBL Lakan Cup continues in Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium.

The SOCCSKSARGEN squad is coming from a loss against the Pasig Sta. Lucia Realtors last August 2 in Pasig Sports Complex.

In the first quarter of the match, their opponent limited their output to only nine points which made them to play catch up in the rest of the first half.

Yet, in the third quarter, the Marlins breaths air as they gave life to their team and unleashed a 28-10 run.

However, in the final quarter, Pasig able to solve the puzzle and came back to win the game.

Raniel Jake Diwa had a stellar double-double performance in that clash where he delivered 24 points and 11 rebounds.

For the Zamboanga group, on the other hand, they came short against the stingy Bacolod Master Sardines last August 1 at the Cuneta Astrodome.

With under a minute to go in the last quarter of that match, Zamboanga was trailing by five points, 78-83.

They were able to trim that deficit and was in a striking distance after Christian Fajarito converted his driving layup, 82-84.

They had a chance to steal the victory after Robin Rono stole the bole from a Paolo Javelona bad pass. However, they too made a crucial turnover with four seconds to go in the game as Mark Tallo stole the rock from Med Salim as time expires in the final period.

Reed Juntila paced Zamboanga in that showdown where he produced 17 points along with his 3 rebounds and two assists.
