Brook Lopez Leads Brookly Nets To Topple Boston Celtics

Brook Lopez, the 7-footer have scored a season-high of 30 points and also grabbed 13 rebounds, leading the Nets to a 100-97 triumph over the Boston Celtics on Saturday.



Nets teammate Joe Johnson chipped in 20 points while Thaddeus Young 16 points along with 10 boards, and Bojan Bogdanovic logged 13 points for Brooklyn, which won just for the third time in 11 outings.

Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas had 24 points while Jae Crowder 16 and teammate Evan Turner got 12 points for Boston. The Celtics slipped their second straight following a season-high four-game winning streak.

Brooklyn Nets guard Jarrett Jack left the game right after fallling to the basketball court and grabbing his right knee late in the third quarter. Nets team officials said it was just a sprain.

Brooklyn led by 10 points entering the fourth quarter, however Boston started the final quarter with a 12-2 run, tying the game on Turner’s baseline fallaway jump shot.

However, Brook Lopez made a 3-point play and a couple of baskets, shifting the Nets ahead 92-85 on his flip inside the lane with 5:34 in the ballgame.

Celtics sealed it to a 98-95 on Crowder‘s and-1 play with only 39 seconds left, then again Lopez made a dunk 12 seconds afterwards. Jonas Jerebko missed a corner three-pointer in the final and last seconds then the final buzzer sound against Boston prior to Crowder could try out another 3-pointer.

There’s a skirmish at the start of third quarter when CelticsJared Sullinger took a hard foul on Lopez, which was confirmed as a flagrant 1. Both players fell to the deck, and Jack screamed some thing down at Sullinger.

Crowder walked in and then the two needed to be separated. Jack as well as Crowder both got technical fouls.

Both teams initiated the game to a fast starts and also were shooting beyond 50 percent for the majority of of the first quarter. Brooklyn Nets led 31-29 at the end of first quarter and by one entering the halftime.

Brooklyn Nets Picked Up Its Second Win
